Ridemakerz is an experiential retailer, co-founded by Build-A-Bear workshop. As the first head of marketing, including all of the digital experiences, we focused on a clear target audience and built an experience and communications to connect with them.






I was the first Chief Marketing & Digital Officer of Ridemakerz, an award winning, experiential retailer. The company was often called the “model car version of Build-A-Bear workshop,” which was an early investor. We started with a clear understanding of our target audience who we called “Zak” (personified above), our core values, unique products and an experience that connected deeply with our guests. In addition to the store experience, the digital experience featured a virtual world and customization options built into a unique e-commerce platform. We eventually created a deal with Disney and Ridemakerz was recently sold to an international mall development company.
